Loop photos and videos, with music, on one slide
The booth screen, the conference break, the waiting room: you want some photos and a couple of clips to play over and over, with music, without anyone touching anything. PowerPoint cannot loop just part of a deck, so this builds it all into a single slide that repeats on its own.
Step by step
- Open Slide Merger, upload a file and press Loop group.
- Put photos and videos in the group, with Add or by dragging them from the list, and set their order.
- Choose the photo timing: Same time (one value) or Per photo. Videos always play in full.
- Optionally press Music on the group to add background music, and mute the videos that should stay silent.
- Export and download the .pptx. The group is one slide that loops until you move on.
Worth knowing
- It comes out as a video. The group becomes a looping video, because that is the only thing PowerPoint loops without a click. So inside the .pptx you cannot swap single photos: change them here and export again.
- The music starts over on each lap. It is part of the group video and repeats to fill the whole lap.
- Mix it with the rest. The group is just one more slide, so it can sit between other decks, PDFs or images.
- A single video can loop too. Press Loop on its row and it repeats until you advance. Sound turns its audio on or off.
Frequently asked questions
How do I leave the loop during the talk?
Advance as with any slide: click, arrow key or clicker. The show moves on to the next slide.
Are portrait photos cropped?
No. Each photo is centred on the slide with black bars, and the rotation the phone recorded is respected.
How long can each photo stay?
From 1 to 600 seconds. The group header shows how long a full lap takes.
