Resize multiple images at once
Forty photos straight off a camera, six megabytes each, and they have to go into a deck or onto a website. One by one is an afternoon. In a batch it is two minutes.
Step by step
- Open the Image Resizer and drop all the images at once.
- Pick a percentage (50% of each) or an exact size in pixels.
- Download the resized batch.
Worth knowing
- Aspect ratio is kept unless you deliberately ask for an exact canvas, so nothing comes out squashed.
- You can change format on the way out — JPG, PNG, WebP — without a second tool.
- For a presentation, 1920 pixels wide is plenty; more only makes the file heavier.
- For a website, WebP is noticeably lighter than JPG at the same quality.
Frequently asked questions
How many images can I upload at once?
There is no hard cap. Batches of dozens are fine; with hundreds, go in rounds so you are not waiting.
Is quality lost?
Making an image smaller costs very little. What you cannot do is enlarge a small photo and get detail that was never there.
Is EXIF data kept?
Technical and location data is not copied to the result. For publishing online that is usually what you want.
